In this leadership role, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of sophisticated clients, including groups with multiple entities and complex tax structures.
- Review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Provide strategic advice on structuring, tax planning and succession planning.
- Mentor, supervise, and develop a team of accountants (both local and offshore).
- Oversee billing, manage client budgets, and work closely with Partners on client strategies.
- Solve complex taxation matters, including CGT, Division 7A, and cross-border issues.
- Enhance client relationships through proactive service and strategic insight.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across internal processes and client services.
Ideal requirements:
- 8+ years of Australian public practice experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role at a mid-tier accounting firm.
- CA qualification with a locally obtained accounting degree; additional certifications valued.
- Advanced technical knowledge in Australian tax, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills - professional, polished, and client-focused.
- Experience managing onshore and offshore teams.
