The role:
This is a key role within our client's CFO Advisory Services team, offering diverse services including finance transformation, financial reporting, and technical accounting advisory for clients across a wide range of industries.
As part of this team, you'll contribute to projects covering financial and management reporting, audit readiness, finance function assessments, accounting changes, policies and procedures, reporting tools, and regulatory compliance.
As a manager, you will:
- Plan and deliver projects for clients, ensuring quality outcomes.
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering their growth.
- Support business development activities to drive the growth of the CFO Advisory Services team.
- Work directly with senior leadership and gain valuable client exposure, enhancing your accounting and technology skillsets as they apply to finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver financial reporting, accounting advisory, and finance transformation projects with a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members and review their work.
- Engage with senior clients in various business environments.
- Research and document technical accounting topics for client deliverables.
- Collaborate with leadership to manage client engagements, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
- Assist with resource planning, training, and compliance within the CFO Advisory Services team.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with CA or equivalent qualification.
- 5-7 years' experience in professional services, commerce, or both.
- Expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting, and management accounting.
- Strong relationship management, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Exposure to business development activities.
- Experience managing teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of lease accounting, treasury accounting, or other complex accounting topics.
