Our National Client, a well-known and respected top 10 mid-tier accounting firm, offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor to join their Audit and Assurance team in Melbourne.
In this role, you'll lead audit engagements, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the firm's long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Execute audits for large proprietary and listed companies across various industries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Independently complete planning sections of audit files and collaborate with teams to develop Financial Audit strategies.
- Identify potential problem areas or budget difficulties and coordinate engagements without supervision, reporting directly to Partners where necessary.
- Analyse internal controls, draft management letters, and mentor junior colleagues while liaising with clients to identify future opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
- 2-4 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent undergraduate degree.
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare) and accounting tools (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- Strong grasp of Australian Accounting and Auditing standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a natural comfort level when dealing with clients.
- Enthusiasm for continuous personal and professional development.
